Today is an epic day, I needed something to capture this moment. My mind flew to the flowers I got for Andrea for mother’s day. I wanted her to have something permanent to remind her of God’s perfect will through adversity. So I bid on 2 bouquets at the Christ Schools auction and won them both. Andrea chose this one, which I think is stunning.

I want it to remind her of how we could not have known that a little over 6 years ago our family would start it’s journey towards us. We could not have known that when we had decided to try for a family that our first daughter was already born. As we found that we could not have children we moved forward with adoption. As Andrea says, she prayed that our children would have great caretakers wherever they were. Her prayers were answered and then some.

My wife is a born mother, she is a teacher, she is patient, she is forgiving, and has an endless supply of smiles and love to give.

So today is a much deserved mothers day, today is a day we need to remember. The journey and the amazing gifts at the end of it. Not to mention, the journey to come will have just as many suprizes, twists, and turns and the one before…if not more.
